About the Event
Can I get CME credit?
Yes! Our programs will offer AMA PRA Category 1 CME credit. Individual CME offerings are identified on the information page and mobile app for each program. AMA PRA Category 1 credits are universally recognized for physician CME. For non-physicians, many state boards and credentialing organizations will accept AMA PRA Category 1 credits as continuing education - generally in a 1:1 ratio. However, it’s important you check with your state licensing board to ensure this applies to you.
Here’s what ChatGPT had to say as of 9 Jun 2025:
Many relevant professional organizations and licensing boards may accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ as equivalent to their own continuing education requirements, as long as the content is relevant to the practitioner's field.
Nursing:
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC): The ANCC accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ issued by organizations accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB): Some activities offering AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ are also recognized by the AANPCB.
Other Nursing Boards: Individual state nursing boards and specialty organizations may also accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, but it's important to verify this directly with the specific board or organization.
Dentistry:
American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP): The UNLV School of Dental Medicine is an ADA CERP approved provider and offers continuing education credits, though ADA CERP does not approve or endorse specific courses.
Individual Boards of Dentistry: Ultimately, it's up to individual boards of dentistry to accept credit hours, so practitioners should check with their specific board.
Physician Assistants (PAs): The American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) recognize AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Certified Nurse-Midwives: The American College of Nurse-Midwives accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from ACCME-accredited providers for relevant content.
Licensed Social Workers and Pharmacists (in Oregon): The Oregon Boards for these professions accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
Other Disciplines: Many other professional societies and credentialing bodies may accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ as equivalent if the content is relevant to their field.
Important Notes:
Always Verify: It is crucial to confirm with your specific licensing board or professional organization if AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ will be accepted for your needs.
Accreditation and Relevance: The acceptance of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ by other professions often depends on the accrediting body (ACCME accredited organizations are widely accepted) and the relevance of the content to your profession. (Usually, wellness CME is relevant to everyone!)
Is this therapy?
No. Though many may find our workshops “therapeutic”, we do not define the professional programs of Happy Doc Summer Camp as offered by Angels of Hippocrates as therapy.

You sure can! Every program has both individual and family pricing options available. However, we do not provide daycare, so you’ll have to be sure to have someone else along to watch your little ones.
